What are balance bikes you may ask... Well, they are an easy, fun & safe way for young children to learn to ride.
The child is seated just like on an ordinary bike but there are no pedals. They use their feet to propel forward or backwards, brake and stabilise the bike. Its ease of use allows children to playfully develop vital balance and motor skills, well beyond their years. Wooden Balance Bikes satisfy the young child's natural desire to be active without the hinderance of training wheels - and prepares them for a seamless switch to an ordinary bicycle!
Our Wooden bikes are solid and lightweight. They are made from varnished birch ply and maple wood. The pneumatic tyres make for a smooth ride and are easy to pump up with an ordinary bike pump. The seat hight is adjustable so that it suits the growing needs of the child. The bikes are designed with a restricted steering head and foam inserts to prevent over turning and protect small fingers. All bikes come with 12 month warranty.
